Flutamide is a kind of synthetic, non-steroidal antiandrogen which is mainly used for the treatment of prostate cancer. It is a kind of toluidine derivative and a nonsteroidal antiandrogen with a similar structure of bicalutamide and nilutamide. The mechanism of its anti-cancer property is through acting as a selective antagonist of the androgen receptor (AR).
Flutamide Function & Application
Flutamide is a nonsteroidal antiandrogen which is used primarily to treat prostate cancer. It is also used in the treatment of androgen-dependent conditions like acne, excessive hair growth, and high androgen levels in women.
